Today , June 18, 2008, we received the first of many emails from Emily. Here is a bit of her email.

Hola familia! Esta aqui en el MTC! It is finally preparation day (not p-day, no abbreviations they say?) and I finally have an opportunity to set up my e-mail.
I have two companions. Hermana Chriswell from Washington and Hermana Brown from Australia. They both are really great and of course, younger. We have two other sisters-going to Panama, and three elders going to Anaheim and two elders going to Calgary in our district. We have two really great teachers too. I feel like I've already learned a lot. My
Spanish is really coming back more than I would've though, and I think part of that has to do with the Italian I took. We had some great firesides on Sunday and a great devotional last night. Basically it's great here I would say. They train us as best they can I suppose. And I know it's right that I'm here and going to do this work. I'll write when I can. It's wonderful to be here and I'm happy! Again, love you all and thank you for your prayers and support and everything else! Love your very own Hermana Emily Sanders!

She's Only Just Begun

Wednesday, June 11, 2008, Emily entered the MTC (Mission Training Center) located in Provo, Utah for a period of about 8 weeks to be tutored intensely in learning Spanish, and a greater understanding of the gospel. While there she will have a (sister) companion, have a rigorous and energy charged schedule. Approximately on the 13th of August she will depart and fly to Anaheim, California where she will live the next 16 months as she serves in that area. Her address at the MTC is:
SISTER EMILY SANDERS
MTC Mailbox #208
CA-ANA 0813
2005 N. 900 E.
Provo, UT 84604-1793
She will be able to receive (and would love) any mail there until the 13th of August, and will be able to email her immediate family.
